We are delighted to announce a great news from the Bosnian Journal of Basic Medical Sciences (BJBMS). The Journal’s 2016 Impact Factor (IF), recently released by Thomson Reuters (Journal Citation Reports) is 0.906! This represents more than 30% increase over the 2015 IF of 0.652. The overall IF performance of BJBMS during the last eight years is shown in the figure above. The impact factor trend is continuously rising over the last three years.
The Editors and Editorial Board have set clear aims, and adopted a clear strategy to push the Journal forward and strengthen its position in the academic community. There were 116 reviewers contributing to the Journal with their invaluable expertise and time in 2016.
BJBMS received about 900 submissions in 2016. More than 12,000 visits to articles are recorded each month on PubMed Central, and about 4,000 visits per month at the journal’s website. Numerous readers find the Journal’s content at Web of Knowledge, PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, EBSCO, and several more databases. This warrants the journal’s high visibility, ensuring the papers published in BJBMS get a proper attention from the scientific community.
