We are proud to announce that the Reviewer of the Month Award for November 2020 goes to Dr. Edyta Maria Urbanska.
As a means to promote the hard work and dedication invested “behind the scenes” in order to improve scientific publications, each month BJBMS Editors select a reviewer who performed the best amongst all the reviewers in the current month. Selection is based on the quality, thoroughness and the timeliness of review. It is a difficult task for our Editors, as they try not to underestimate the time and efforts of each of the reviewers who reviewed for the BJBMS in the current month.
Dr. Edyta Maria Urbanska is a researcher at the University of Copenhagen, Rigshospitalet, Centre for Cancer and Organ Diseases, Department of Oncology, Lung Team. Her current research interests are focused on genomic defined NSCLC, especially ALK-positive NSCLC, new targets for NSCLC (ROS1, RET, BRAF, exon 20 EGFR, NTRK, NGR1, MET, KRAS, etc.) mutations resistance mechanism, re-biopsies, liquid biopsy, mesothelioma, SCLC, NEC.
We asked Dr. Edyta Maria Urbanska about the importance and other aspects of the peer-review process in general:
Regarding the peer-review process I think that it is important to receive the feedback from the authors and at read other reviewers’ opinions, and furthermore, which action was taken with the reviewed paper (accepted, rejected, date of publishing, etc.)
BJBMS congratulates Dr. Edyta Maria Urbanska and wishes her many awards and recognitions in the future.
