In recent years, artificial intelligence has become widely applied in a variety of medical fields, including renal pathology. Computer scientists and pathologists are collaborating to apply the latest artificial intelligence techniques to the analysis of pathological slides for diagnosis, prediction of prognosis, treatment, as well as other clinically related purposes. However, the application of artificial intelligence in renal pathology is not perfect, and there are still issues that need to be resolved. Therefore, researchers from the Children’s Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine made an effort to evaluate the current status of artificial intelligence in renal pathology.
Artificial intelligence-based renal pathology will enable automatic quantification of features, pathological classification, and prognosis assessment. This includes the structure and lesion recognition of glomeruli, tubules, interstitium, arteries, as well as the prediction of renal pathological classification and prognosis. Researchers closely monitored the development of artificial intelligence in renal pathology and attempted to highlight the importance of artificial intelligence in renal pathology images, predictive models, and 3D in renal pathology.
They came to the conclusion that it is essential to establish an ideal renal pathology diagnosis system based on artificial intelligence. To generate an exact prediction and conform to precise medical movement, cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology is employed to combine all relevant multimodal imaging data, clinical information and molecular markers. Furthermore, artificial intelligence can not only enhance the work of renal pathologists, but also reduce their workload, improve their diagnostic accuracy and provide additional information.
近年来,人工智能已广泛应用于包括肾脏病理学在内的多个医学领域。计算机科学家和病理学家正在合作,将最新的人工智能技术应用于病理切片的分析,以用于诊断、预后预测、治疗以及其他临床相关目的。然而,人工智能在肾脏病理中的应用并不完善,还存在需要解决的问题。因此,浙江大学医学院附属儿童医院的研究人员努力评估人工智能在肾脏病理学中的现状。
