The BJBMS Editorial Team is pleased to introduce its New Editor, Hongda Liu, MD, PhD
Professor Liu is an Associate Professor at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Nanjing, China. After graduating as an MD from Shandong College, China, he was a Visiting Scholar at University of Pittsburgh, USA (2015-2017). He received his PhD from Shandong University, China in 2017, and then was a Postdoctoral Associate, Department of Pharmacology & Chemical Biology, at the School of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh, USA (2017-2018).
He is an expert in the field of prognostic prediction of tumor malignancies, both from clinical and molecular aspects; novel prognostic biomarkers for potential clinical applications, novel biological pathways and molecularly targeted therapies. His research interests range from basic to clinical studies in oncology, prognosis, phosphatase, GPCR, and mass spectrometry.
He is author/co-first author/corresponding author on 12 publications and co-author on 17 publications.
Dr. Liu is a Journal Reviewer in Oncogene, Cancer Letter, Cancer Science, Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics, OncoTargets and Therapy, Scientific Reports, Tohoku Journal of Experimental Medicine, Medical Science Monitor, Guest Associate Editor in Frontiers in Oncology, Frontiers in Immunology, Associate Editor in Genes & Genomics, Academic Editor in Genetics Research and Assistant Editor in Laboratory Medicine. His lab has been supported by various Chinese science foundations.
For Dr. Liu, being on the editorial board of a journal is a great benefit: ‘The most advantage is that I can have an insight into the latest research in basic medicine, and I’m delighted to accumulate my research credits and serve the authors.’
When we asked Dr. Liu why scientists should submit their papers to BJBMS, he replied, ‘BJBMS is a typical international medical journal known for the high quality of its publications. In addition, BJBMS is a good choice for a wider audience because of its open access publication policy.’
